Alpha-RLH Alpha-RLH
ALPHA-RLH (Route des Lasers & des Hyperfréquences) is a newly formed technology cluster specializing in photonics, lasers and microwave technologies. It is the result of a merger on 1st January 2017 between two French competitiveness clusters, Route des Lasers and Elopsys. Located in Bordeaux and Limoges, ALPHA-RLH is based on six strategic activity domains: - 2 technology domains: Photonics-Laser and Microwave, - 4 application domains: Healthcare (Medical devices and Autonomy), Communications and Security, Aeronautics, Space and Defence, Energy and Smart buildings. Digital technologies are a cross-cutting domain serving these six strategic activity domains. Through aggregate skills and expertise, ALPHA-RLH aims to become the French reference cluster in photonics, lasers and microwave technologies. It will enable the cluster to bring out innovation collaborative projects and enrich the support provided to SME members exporting to global markets (contact@alpha-rlh.com).
EPS EPS
The object of the Society is and shall be to contribute to and promote the advancement of physics, in Europe and in neighbouring countries, by all suitable means and in particular by providing a forum for the discussion of subjects of common interest and by providing means whereby action can be taken on those matters which appear desirable to handle on the international level.
ILP ILP
IdEx IdEx
In 2010, the French government launched the Investments for the Future scheme to finance the projects which will shape the France of tomorrow. A 10-year budget of €22 billion was earmarked for higher education and research, identified as key priorities. These investments target the creation of some ten world-class clusters of excellence in higher education and scientific research. One of the major programs selected for this far-reaching endeavor is the University of Bordeaux Initiative of Excellence (IdEx Bordeaux). The University of Bordeaux Initiative of Excellence (IdEx Bordeaux) In close collaboration with research bodies and partner institutions, the University of Bordeaux offers innovative research, training and knowledge transfer programs. These programs are financed with the income stemming from a €700 million endowment granted to IdEx Bordeaux. These funds must be supplemented by partner investments and external resources (ANR or European call for proposals, private funding, etc.).
LAPHIA LAPHIA
Funded by the Excellence Initiative of the University of Bordeaux, LAPHIA (Laser and Photonics in Aquitaine) boosts research through collective site projects, drawing on the excellence of materials science and physics teams. LAPHIA unites the academic community in three main areas: - Lasers and high energy physics - Photonics and materials - Innovative imaging
